vodafone - Children Online Awareness Video

Who Are They?

Vodafone is a leading technology communications company in Europe and Africa.

Vodafone’s networks keep family, friends, businesses and governments connected and play a vital role in keeping economies running and the functioning of critical sectors like education and healthcare.

The Challenge

We’ve all suffered from bullying at some point in our lives and the older we get our traumas grow with us.

But with the world nowadays starting to see bullying as a real and a major issue, Vodafone decided to tell a story… a really important one. The target was to develop an awareness campaign that goes under one of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approaches.

The idea was to create an animated video, boosting children with confidence and educating them on how to fight cyber bullying and take actions against such an issue.

The Solution

Creative Retionale

Every child out there has a hero inside them, but how did we unleash that hero?
We collaborated with BrandWorx, to create this awareness campaign. The creative approach to this challenge was to help children self-moderate, we made them believe that they are capable of protecting themselves from any danger.

Initially, we made a storyboard for planning the scenes that were being aimed at young children. We designed basic shapes and bright colours to look relatively like them and to be easier to deliver the message. Then, we divided cyber dangers into four categories.

Each category is colour coded and associated with keywords that children get exposed to on the internet. Altogether under one main umbrella called

  • “Be a Hero”
  • “خليك بطل”

Characters’ creation
